Food-Inspired Themes That are Super Cute, and Perfect for any Time of Year!
Food themes add a playful twist and make menu planning a lot more straightforward. These ideas combine tasty treats with clever wordplay, which definitely make these options popular:
A Baby is Brewing: Perfect for coffee lovers. Set up a coffee bar, where guests can make their own lattes, cold brews, and/or traditional coffee. I recommend also including a selection of various syrups, creamers, and milks so that everyone can make their own signature drink. Setting out pastries can help create more of a coffee shop feel. Decorate with coffee-inspired and brown decor, that being said, this theme is a perfect gender-neutral idea for mamas-to be that are holding off on finding out their baby's gender. For a more personal touch, order a custom sign and set out shower-themed coffee cups.

A Little Cutie is on the Way: An adorable theme focused on mandarin oranges, think bright colors and fresh scents. Incorporate decorations that have pops of orange, peach, and green. Set up a juice bar featuring orange juice along with other citrus juices. A breakfast/brunch bar, or an array of smaller snacks and appetizers like fruit salad, or Chinese chicken salad also compliment the theme.

A Berry Sweet Baby is on the Way: A "berry" sweet theme that can be decorated with strawberry decor and pops of red gingham to create a strawberry patch-inspired atmosphere. Put out a refresher station with berry-infused waters and an açai bowl or parfait station including different nuts and nut butters, granolas, chopped fruit, coconut, superfood seeds (chia, flax, and/or hemp seeds), cocoa nibs, and honey. Strawberry season runs from April through June, so this theme would be super cute if you're planning to have the shower during those months. However, this theme is also adorable any other time of the year as well. This berry-themed celebration is sure to be a sweet success!

Ciao Baby/Ciao Bambino: This theme is perfect if the mom-to be is a lover of Italian food. This theme is even more perfect if mama-to-be is Italian and is looking for a baby shower theme that will celebrate her sweet Italian baby that is on the way. This shower could include pasta, pizza, cannoli, and/or espresso bars. I've seen this theme done in two different styles. One is red and white with coquette vibes, the other is Positano-inspired, with blue and white, featuring lemon accents.
Holy Cannoli: This theme is really similar to Ciao Baby, and can be decorated with the same or similar vibe, but with different signage and has more of a focus on cannolis and other Italian desserts. You could put together a salad station with a pizza or pasta bar would be cute with this theme as well.

Taco Bout a Baby: Celebrate your pregnancy fiesta style! Mexican food is a really common pregancy craving, if mom-to-be has been craving a lot of Mexican food, this theme could be the perfect way to celebrate her. Set up a festive taco bar with colorful decorations, served with rice, beans, chips, and salsa. Decorate with taco and other Mexican-inspired decor. This theme is adorable year-round, but is also super cute if the shower is being planned for late April or early May (Cinco de Mayo).

Bun in the Oven: This theme is soft and delicate, think cozy cafe vibes. Set up a pastry station with various pastries, desserts, and/or bakery-style sandwiches. A coffee bar also fits the theme and pairs well with a lot of different pastries as well. This theme is another great gender-neutral option, but can also be customized to fit a more girly or boyish vibes as well.
Winter Themes to Warm the Heart
Winter baby showers have a magical charm, sprinkled with snow and Christmas-inspired decorations. These showers create a snowy, yet cozy winter wonderland vibe:
New Year, New Baby!: Celebrate both the new year and the new arrival with metallic and white decor, confetti, and of course, sparkling cider. If you want to incorporate gender, decorate with pink or blue instead of white. Put out New Year's-inspired foods like a charcuterie board, fruit and/or veggie platters, cups filled with 12 grapes for good fortune, and/or your favorite dips and chips.
Winter Onsieland: This theme could either be winter-inspired or Christmas-inspired depending on the mama-to-be's preference. Create a winter wonderland with icy blues, silver accents, and twinkling lights. If the baby is a girl, you could decorate with pops of pinks instead of blues. The shower could also be decorated with traditional Christmas colors (red and green with pops of gold or silver). Set up a hot cocoa bar and include various mix-ins like marshmallows, crushed peppermint, whipped cream, and syrups. Put out Winter or Christmas-themed sugar cookies, cupcakes, and other yummy treats for your guests to snack on.
Baby It's Cold Outside: This theme is adorable for showers that take place in December. Decorate with snowflakes, and other Winter or Christmas-inspired elements. Set up a Christmas cookie bar including Christmas sugar cookies, gingerbread, snickerdoodle, crinkle, and/or Christmas M&M cookies. Including a cookie decorating station could also be really cute. A hot cocoa bar is also super cute for this theme as well. Include a variety of different mix-ins like marshmallows, various syrups (peppermint, gingerbread, caramel, or vanilla), whipped cream, and crushed peppermint.
Snow Excited for Our Baby: This theme is very similar to all of the other winter themes we have already talked about. With this theme, focus on incorporating snowmen and snowflakes while decorating, this will create a snowy atmosphere. Hot cocoa and cookie bars work for this theme as well. If you include a hot cocoa bar, it would be super cute if marshmallows looked like snowmen (place 3 on a kabob stick and use a string from a pull-and-peel Twizzler and tie it below the top marshmallow to resemble a scarf). You can also include snowman-shaped food like a charcuterie board with the elements arranged in the shape of a snowman, or the charcuterie board could also be in the shape of a snowman.
Sweet Honey and Bee Themes
Bee-themed showers are charming and bright. These ideas highlight sweetness and nature: These themes are cute for any time of year, but they also really cute for spring baby showers.
Mama-to-Bee: Think cute bee decor and honeycomb patterns everywhere. Set out bee-shaped cookies, along with other treats and a charcuterie board that also includes honey, honey mustard pretzels, and honeycomb. Hexagon-shaped sandwiches are another cute food option for this theme as well. For a personal touch, order a custom sign and honey jars to hand out as party favors for your guests.

Sweet as Can Bee: This theme is similar to "Mama-to-Bee". Decorate with pops of yellow, hexagon-shaped decor, and sunflowers. Set up a waffle station where guests can make their own waffles and set aside syrups and honey to drizzle on top (this adorable waffle maker will take it to the next level!). You could also set up a lemonade station with regular and honey lemonade served in pitchers.

A Little Hunny is on the Way: These themes are all really similar, so this theme can be set up with elements mentioned in the prior two themes. This theme can also be decorated with Winnie the Pooh decor instead of hexagon, bee, and yellow vibes. Setting up a brunch station would be cute, you could include waffles, pancakes, yogurt, granola, berries, honey and syrup.

What Will Baby Bee?: This theme is similar to the other themes in this section, but with a gender reveal twist. You could set out a charcuterie board that features honeycomb, honey mustard pretzels, and honey. A waffle station or a breakfast bar would also be cute. Set up a "Team Boy or Team Girl?" lemonade station that serves honey lemonade, strawberry lemonade, and blueberry lemonade (use a flavored syrup, like Torani to ensure the lemonade is blue) in pitchers. Guests can enjoy a honey-sweetened lemonade or show their guess with their drink choice.

Bonus Spring Theme Ideas
Spring baby shower ideas typically include floral decorations, pastel color schemes, and/or outdoor picnic elements that celebrate the new arrival in a delicate and refreshing atmosphere.

Peter Rabbit: This theme is earthy, rustic, cozy, and perfect for Spring. Decorate with carrots, flowers, gingham, and of course, rabbits! Set out veggie and fruit platters, sandwiches, and/or a charcuterie board. For dessert, carrot cake, cupcakes, cookies, and/or chocolate covered strawberries that look like carrots are all very complementary to the theme. Lemonade and water served in mason jar pitchers or watering cans are both really cute and rustic options that fit the theme as well.

Baby In Bloom: This theme screams Spring and is perfect if the mama-to-be loves florals! This theme is delicate, whimsical, and delicate. Decorate with florals, the florals used can be varied, of course, to fit the mom-to-be's preference. Set out personal veggie cups served in mini flower pots and fruit kabobs in the shape of flowers (about 5 green grapes to resemble a stem with a pineapple slice that is cut with a flower cookie cutter, and if you want to be a little extra, put a blueberry in the middle with a toothpick that was cut in half). Serve sandwiches in the shape of flowers, and for dessert, floral-decorated cupcakes or flower-shaped cookies! To keep everyone hydrated, put out pitchers of strawberry rose, blueberry lavender, and/or elderflower lemonade.

A Little Cutie is on the Way: This bright and fresh spring theme focuses on mandarin oranges, so think bright colors and fresh scents. Incorporate decorations that have pops of orange, peach, and green. Set up a juice bar that features orange juice along with other citrus juices. A breakfast/brunch bar, or an array of smaller snacks and appetizers like fruit salad, or Chinese chicken salad also compliment the theme.

Summer Theme Ideas
Summer-inspired baby shower ideas are delightfully beachie, fruity, and fresh, capturing the essence of sunshine and warmth in every detail.
Locally Grown: An adorable farmer's market inspired theme that is perfect for a summer baby shower. This theme is very earthy and a perfect gender-neutral option. Think gingham with pops of green and brown, and natural elements like potted herbs or whole carrots for decorations. Keep things simple with a charcuterie board with a fruit and/or veggie platter. Take some melted white chocolate and orange food coloring to create chocolate dipped strawberries that resemble carrots, then place them in pots with crushed up Oreo cookies to mimic dirt for the cutest little dessert! Set up a bouquet station where guests can put together their own bouquet with fresh flowers.

A Berry Sweet Baby is on the Way: This berry-inspired theme is perfect for summer! Decorate with strawberry decor and pops of red gingham to create a strawberry patch-inspired vibe. Set up a refresher station with berry-infused waters and an açai bowl or parfait station including different nuts and nut butters, granolas, chopped fruit, coconut, superfood seeds (chia, flax, and/or hemp seeds), cocoa nibs, and honey. This bright berry-themed celebration is sure to be a sweet success!

Beach: Baby on Board, Shell Be Here Soon, Ahoy it's a Boy, Sea You Soon, Baby, and A Little Pearl is on the Way. Refer to the section below for more in-depth information covering each beach/nautical theme.
Beach Vibes that Welcome Baby
A beach theme brings a relaxed and sunny atmosphere perfect for spring or summer showers. Here are some of my favorite nautical ideas:
Baby on Board: This theme is retro and with is decorated with beach elements like waves, surfboards, and palm trees; think blues, coral, and greens. Set up a fish taco bar paired with coleslaw and other sides like rice and beans. You could also serve a veggie and fruit platter including fruit like watermelon, pineapple, mango, and/or berries. Put out a drink station with pineapple-infused water, lemonade, and/or tropical juices. For a sweet treat, cupcakes, cake, or sorbet cups compliment the theme nicely.

Shell Be Here Soon: This theme is adorable if the mom-to-be is wanting a beach-themed shower, and is expecting a baby girl! Decorate with seashells, starfish, and different shades of pink. Set up a fish taco bar or serve shrimp cocktail cups. You could also put out white scalloped plates that resemble shells. Cupcakes with pink shell cupcake toppers add a sweet touch.

Ahoy It's a Boy: This is the perfect nautical theme if the mom-to-be is expecting a boy! Decorate with anchors, seashells, and various shades of blue to create a charming atmosphere to celebrate baby boy. Set up a food station that serves little shrimp cocktail cups, hummus cups with carrot sticks and bell pepper, and cupcakes. You could also set up a drink station that includes tropical drinks like pineapple or mango juice and a Caribbean or tropical punch.

Sea You Soon, Baby: Incorporate adorable under-the-sea decorations like sea creatures such as whales, dolphins, and/or crabs. You could set up a fish taco station or put out shrimp cocktail cups and veggie cups with hummus or ranch. You could also set up a drink station featuring under-the-sea themed drinks like ocean water (sprite and blue coconut syrup), sea water (blue Hawaiian Punch, blue gatorade, and sprite), and/or mermaid punch (blue Hawaiian Punch, pineapple juice, and sprite). To add more of an "under-the-sea" feel, top the tables with a fishnet and add aquatic-themed centerpieces.

A Little Pearl is on the Way: Use pearl accents, oyster shell decor, and light pink elements to create an elegant beach vibe. Fun fact, the birthstones for the month of June are pearls, moonstones, and alexandrites, that being said, this theme would be perfect if the baby's due date is in June. Set up a boba station so that guests can make their own boba drink. You could also put out a taco station including fish and shrimp, or keep it more simple with a charcuterie board and a veggie and/or fruit platter.

Fall-Themed Ideas for Cozy Celebrations
Autumn is full of rich colors and natural elements that create a warm, inviting atmosphere:
Waiting for Our Little Pumpkin/ A Little Pumpkin is on the Way/ Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice: Think classic fall vibes, with pops of orange, red, brown, and green. Use mini pumpkins as centerpieces and get a plastic pumpkin for guests to sign as a festive guestbook for the mom-to-be. Carve out mini pumpkins and fill with a few slices of cheese, apple, and meat, some crackers, and olives to create personal grab-and-go charcuterie cups. Peel mandarin oranges and place a tiny piece of green apple in the top to resemble little pumpkins! For something sweet, you can't go wrong with mini pumpkin pies and/or pumpkin and onesie shaped cookies.

Baby is Brewing: I know I already mentioned this theme, but I promise in this context it has nothing to do with coffee. Think spooky witch vibes with pops of black, orange, and purple. This theme is perfect if the mama-to-be loves Halloween. Decorate with plastic bats and instead of using a traditional cooler to keep drinks cold, fill a cauldron with ice to keep things spooky! Set up a sand-witch station with a spooky charcuterie board. For dessert, put out mini cauldrons filled with cotton candy and white chocolate strawberries with three black dots to resemble ghosts!

The Apple of My Eye: Decorate with apples, baskets, and plaid fabrics for a rustic, fall feel. Set up a caramel apple station and serve pitchers of water and apple cider! It would also be cute to serve charcuterie cups that have cheese cubes, nuts, crackers, and an apple slice for guests to grab and snack on. Another cute appetizer that compliments the theme is apple, white cheddar, and honey bruschetta.

Falling in Love with Our Baby: Decorate with soft reds and golds with fall-colored leaves and pumpkins. This Fall theme is very versatile and can be customized to fit mama-to-be's preferences. Set up a mini pie table and serve mini apple, pumpkin, and/or pecan pies. Put out pitchers to serve water, spiced apple cider, and/or sparking pomegranate punch (pomegranate juice mixed with sparking water or ginger ale). Any of the other food options mentioned in this section also go well with this theme, like charcuterie cups, sandwiches (turkey and cranberry sauce), or bruschetta.
